rPET
Recycled polyethylene terephthalate, 100% of which is obtained from PET bottles, remelted and granulated to become a high-quality raw material for newly spun fibres. The raw material made from PET bottles guarantees high purity for consistent quality and is the prelude to the use of recycled fibres in Gleistein quality.
Bio-based Dyneema
Ready for a greener future? Since 2020, these high-quality bio-based Dyneema fibres, which are obtained entirely from sustainably managed, certified forests, have been gaining in importance. The fibres are made using organic naphtha, which is fed into the production process in a strictly controlled mass balancing procedure. GLEISTEIN has become the first rope-manufacturer in the world to switch its entire production to these environmentally friendly fibres, without any compromise on quality and performance.

Who is Gleistein?
The Gleistein-DNA
Gleistein, founded in Bremen Vegesack in 1824, has been making fibre ropes for nearly 200 years and remains one of the world's top suppliers with exceptional products and system solutions. The business has enjoyed success in the past, and it will undoubtedly do so in the future, so it's fine to make an impression based on previous and present performance, and it's obvious that Gleistein has done a lot of things correctly. But it wanted to take a step further and make it very clear what the company is actually all about: the values they follow, the motivations that drive them, and the future they want to create. The Gleistein DNA was created as a result.
