Rigid inflatable boats have a solid bottom made of GRP, i.e. glass-fibre reinforced plastic, commonly known as fibreglass. They're often known simply as RIBs. A rigid hull inflatable boat has better buoyancy than other inflatable boats and is suitable for offshore use.
Rigid hull inflatable boats have a significantly lower weight than a conventional motor boat. As a result, outboard motors that power them do not need to be so strong, which in turn makes them more economical, but still with the potential to reach higher speeds. RIB inflatable boats can be used anywhere and are also suitable for offshore use. Restrictions for the cruising area are only dependent on the engine. RIBs are mostly used with an outboard motor as a tender or for excursions and fishing trips. RIB boats offer the best sailing experience due to their V-shaped underwater hull, with a high level of comfort and good handling. Solid hull inflatables can also be fitted with a sun screen, such as a bimini.

The boats have good towing characteristics and a material thickness of 0.7 mm. The shell of RIB inflatable boats weighs approx. 850 g/m² maximum tensile strength at approx. 2500 N/ 5 cm. Our largest RIB inflatable boat, the Seatec GT Sport 410, has a control console with windscreen and bracket to hold a steering system, gear shift and instruments (not included) and features a double seat bench and two additional seats, one in front of the control console and one in the bow area.
