SECUMAR – Innovation, spanning over 4 generations. For over 50 years, the family business of Bernhardt Appartebau GmbH port & Co. has been developing and producing certified rescue products under the brand name SECUMAR. Starting with helmet diving equipment Jost Bernhardt, soon diversifies its company's product range towards the maritime rescue area. Encouraged by the "Parmir" tragedy in 1957 in which 80 sailors were killed in a storm even though they were carrying life jackets, Jost Bernhardt is working intensively on the development of an inflatable lifejacket that protects a person in distress even when unconscious. Through own scientific research and cooperation with experts and captains, the company constantly develops better life-saving equipment. Since 1964 Secumar has been working in close cooperation with the German Navy and has won many other international partners in the meantime.
The British company Spinlock is known for its deck hardware and safety equipment for water sports. It's no surpise that participants of the world's most prestigious races like Vendee Globe, America's Cup or Volvo Ocean Race rely on Spinlock hardware and safety equipment.
