Black Box Transceiver - for when it comes to saving space! ICOM presents yet another VHF marine radio, based on the highly successful IC-M423: The black box IC-M400BB. The control over all of the functions, including DSC operation is done via the included COMMANDMIC™ hand-held unit with built-in HM-195B B microphone.
The IC-M400BB main unit can be installed under the instrument panel if space is limited. Compared to existing mounted radios, the combination of the IC-M400BB and HM-195B offers a flexible, space-saving installation behind / under the instrument panel / at the helm.
With the optional extension cable, the COMMANDMIC™ HM-195B can be mounted up to 18.3m away from the IC-M400BB. The active noise canceller, megaphone function, NF capability, as well as the intuitive user interface were all taken from the IC-M423.

The DSC or ATIS function/menu is only available in the respective channel group. Please change to the corresponding channel group to use the respective functions.
Programming notes:This device must be programmed with your personal data, such as the MMSI and/or ATIS number.The activation of the ATIS number must be done by us. This service is free of charge. You can program the MMSI and ATIS number yourself. You will find instructions on how to do this in the manual. Alternatively we can carry out the programming for you and charge our programming fee. In order for us to do this, in the next step of the order (in the comments field) please let us know your MMSI / ATIS number or fill out our data sheet Programming for VHF radios and send it to datenblatt@svb.de. If additional channels (e.g. Dutch channels 30, 31 and 37) are to be activated, we charge our programming fee. The application for the allocation of MMSI and ATIS numbers can be found in our Service / Downloads section. |
