Wireless radar on iPhone or an iPad

Instead of a complex plotter you will only need the FURUNO wireless radar in combination with an iPhone or an iPad in order to display the classical radar images. The conventional radar antenna with 4 kW transmission power has a special module that transforms the radar signals into WiFi records. These can then be displayed on a total of two Apple devices. For this purpose the FURUNO radar app needs to be downloaded in advance. It combines the familiar basic configuration options of a conventional radar with the intuitive use of iPhone and iPad. Thus, the use of radar and its abstract images quickly becomes popular and even inexperienced crew members can be encouraged to meaningfully play around with the images and therefore learn how a radar works. The advantage will be that these experiences with radar, radar images, the settings and evaluation will bring about a decisive advantage when the conditions are harsh with poor visibility due to rain, fog, spray and mist while inexperienced crew members might already be overwhelmed by the plurality of switches, buttons and soft keys on the plotter.
