The history of the company began in 1949 with Emil Jockel founding a company for the sale of fire extinguishers and tools. In 1960, Emil's son Klaus-Gerhard Jockel joined the by then established company and developed the first patented system for easy operation of a fire extinguisher in case of a fire.
