SERVO CLEAT

Servo Cleat cam cleats from Kassel made by Spring Bootstechnik
Emil Feder first got into sailing at the beginning of the 1970s. He was quickly dissatisfied with the use of the then common clamp / cam cleat. He was particularly annoyed with the way he had to haul in 1 to 2 cm in order to be able to pull apart the cleat jaws. Since most sailors are also hobbyists, Feder built his own prototype and optimised it until he was satisfied with the material, shape and performance. The servo cam cleat was born! What distinguishes the new Servo Cleat? Above the clamping surfaces is a V-shaped gap whose teeth spiral outwards and to the tip. The shape allows vertical pressure to be converted by the sheet into rotary movement of the jaws. The decisive advantage: After the sail has been trimmed, the sheet can be held in this position WITHOUT further hauling! more Information

The rubbing strake is mounted on the spreader and stows halyards away from the mast, thus preventing noise in the marina.
