Inside the float has a second skin in the form of a tear resistant film. Should the buoyancy chamber get damaged e.g. by a pin or hook, the life vest still functioning nicely. Even if the outer shell is pierced, the filling gas pushes the flexible inner wall to the hole and thus seals the leak again. Another real innovation is the newly developed click-lock, this allows easy application of the vest. All Protect Duo models are equipped with this new hardware.

| Inflational system/Gas | The vest is automatically inflated when dipped into the water. The SECUMATIC 3001S guarantees due to the SECUMAR pill, the immediate triggering of the inflational system. Three green indicators make it easy to check and maintain the device before every use. The indicators make a visual control of the screw-in depth of the gas cartridge (CO2) possible as well as checking if the cartridge is installed correctly and the manual triggering switch is put back. The unique torque security of the gas cartridge prevents an independent losening of the cartridge through vibrations or shaking (or playing of children).
